Orchid gave him a weak smile. "I know... I was talking to myself.. Edward is.. was my husband.." she closed her eyes, whimpering. "He's dead now."


Lou held him protectivly, "Shhh, shhhh, please don't cry!" Taquin began wailing, trying to reach Pixie.

Cornelius nodded once, acknowledging the information, then went downstairs.


Pixie ignored the baby's wails and poofed up to the roof, sitting crosslegged and leaning against the chimney stack.

Orchid started crying and pulled his sweater on, not wanting to try and get her own heavy dress on.


Taquin screamed loudly, thrashing in Lou's arms until Lou got him a bottle of baby formula and fed him. "There, that's better isn't it?"

Cornelius sat on the couch and closed his eyes, reaching out with his mind.


Pixie hummed a jig, her fingers tapping the beat on her knees. She cocked her head when Cornelius' voice rang out in her head The vampire girl is confusing me. Do all humans continually act like this?

Orchid bit her lip, wondering what to do. She couldn't care for herself, she'd starve to death, she had to have someone look after her, and the only way she knew how to do that was with sex.


Lou sighed as he tucked Taquin up in his bed, tucking pillows around him so he wouldn't roll out.

Cornelius waited for her to respond, but instead she just filled his head with snatches of songs and twists of melodies. He opened his eyes, breaking the psychic connection and looked around the room.


Pixie waited until she felt Cornelius' presence leave her mind before she stopped thinking about music.

Orchid went into the bathroom and washed her face, frowning at her blotchy and tear stained skin. "I wish I could see you one last time, Edward I miss you."


Lou poofed up to the roof, watching Pixie.

Cornelius found a few novels scattered around the house and started to read one, hoping to learn something.


Pixie felt Lou's presence but didn't look up at him.

Orchid curled up in his bed, falling asleep under the covers.


Lou sat down next to her. "Pixie?"

Cornelius stretched out on the couch and closed his eyes.


Pixie nodded "Yes."

Orchid was dreaming of Edward and the children, watching them laughing and happy in a field, they wanted her to join them, but when she tried to get closer, her skin started burning, blistering and bubbling up. She reached a hand out to them, begging them not to leave her but they started walking away, leaving her alone and in pain.


Lou laid his head on her shoulder. "I'm sorry.."

Cornelius went upstairs and watched Orchid, intrigued.


Pixie put her arm around his waist.

Orchid twitched, starting to cry, wanting to join her family.


Lou smiled, hugging her close. "I love you."

Cornelius frowned. He leaned forwards and wiped a tear away, sniffing it then tentatively licking it from his fingertip.


Pixie nodded "Love you too."

Orchid woke up crying, reaching out and hugging Cornelius around the waist, burying her face in his stomach. "E-E-Edward! I t-thought you w-w-were d-d-d-d-ead!"she sobbed, shaking violently.


Lou smiled, kissing her neck. "Pix, you wanna get inside? I have some nice wine.."

"I," Cornelius said patiently, "am not Edward."


Pixie grinned "Yes, yes I do."

Orchid let go and fell backwards, rubbing the tears from her cheeks. "I'm sorry.. I just.. You were... I want my husband back!" she gasped out through her tears, her teeth chattering.


Lou picked her up, wincing slightly as he put more weight on his left leg and poofed them inside, setting her on the couch and grabbing a few bottles of wine ad two wine glasses.

Cornelius nodded and sat back, observing her.


Pixie sat with her legs tucked up, smiling to herself.

Orchid shuddered, wrapping the blanket around herself. "I'm so sorry.. I don't know why I'm acting like this."


Lou poured her a glass, kissing her cheek.

Cornelius half-smiled "It is not of importance."


Pixie nuzzled into him.

Orchid sniffled, rubbing her head. "C-can I feed from you? Please.. I need blood.."


Lou tilted his head back, closing his eyes. "I really love you."

Cornelius stared at her "Feed? I am not food."


Pixie kissed along his jaw, sucking at the skin where jaw met neck.

Orchid bit her lip. "It doesn't hurt, please.. I used to feed from Edward but.. I haven't fed in weeks.."


Lou moaned softly, rubbing her hips gently.

Cornelius hesitated then nodded.


Pixie grinned against his hot skin, wriggling

Orchid smiled great fully, tugging him down to sit on the bed then straddling him to bite into his neck. She moaned as she tasted the hot blood filling her mouth. His blood tasted sharp and tangy, not sweet and orangy like Edward's.


Lou groaned, sliding his hands up her shirt to squeeze her breasts.
